A Special First Mass 24th June 2018

Our parish community warmly welcomed Fr Francesco Mary Gavazzi who came to celebrate with us, in his parish of baptism, his first Mass in Australia. We welcomed his parents, his grandparents, siblings and all relatives and friends who came to join us in this wonderful celebration. May God bless him with a very fruitful ministry and the Lord grant him a meek and humble heart like Jesus. Everybody celebrated over a cuppa and a special cake. A true blessing!

Christmas Carols & Sausage Sizzle 2017

A Big Thanks to all our Volunteers

I would like to thank everybody who generously gave of their talents, time and energy for our SEVENTH year of Christmas Carols in the Church and the sausage sizzle that followed. I am truly grateful to you all. Thanks to those who worked on the decorations, sound and technical aspects of the Carols, musicians and singers and a huge thanks to all our hard workers and volunteers who prepared so well the 300 sausage sizzle and the subsequent clean up that followed. We would also like to thank the family who generously paid for most of the Sausage Sizzle expenses. Their generosity has enabled our parish to donate the money collected at the Carols evening to SVdePaul. So our parish has sent a cheque this week for $309.15 to SVdePaul. A visitor from a neighbouring parish said to me: “Father I felt love everywhere from everybody during the night!” So, again I thank you all for the outpouring of your love on that special night; making our Saint Therese a very special parish! Keep up the good work.

God bless you all, from Fr Roberto

Lent Update 2018

Church Alter

We had a great participation from many fronts. The Catholic school sent groups of children with a prepared reflection so they could pray according to their age. We had musicians, the Neo-catechumenal group and Apostolate of Renewal all helped to lead people with their prayers and reflection time. I would also like to share with you a News Flash of the event that was Published in the The Catholic Weekly

People said they loved it!
Many thanks to all those who came! Father Roberto Castillo

Parish Luncheon

Thank you to all...

Once again our parish luncheon was a wonderful social event with our community coming together in friendship and faith to share a meal. The food was delicious and it was so refreshing to be entertained with some beautiful piano music and singing. Many thanks to Father Roberto and our Parish Councillors for organising such a wonderful afternoon. We would also like to thank those who generously donated money towards the lunch as it helped to partly subsidise the price we charged per head. And lastly, many, many thanks to all those who attended the luncheon, as you all made the afternoon so special by making new friends in our parish community and those who welcomed us at the Ryde-Eastwood leagues Club.
