Pentecost Sunday

THIS YEARS PENTECOST CELEBRATIONS

 Pentecost 2017

Last weekend was Pentecost Sunday which is the birthday of the Church, the coming of the Holy Spirit. Our parish celebrated this with many of the parishioners wearing red to Mass where we prayed that the Spirit comes with many gifts for our parish community and that the church will continue to grow.

Following Mass we had a cup of tea and cut a cake in celebration.

Lent Update

24 HOURS WITH THE LORD

Saint Therese is a small parish with a big heart for the Lord. Like in previous years, the 24 hours was once again considered a success. Many people felt very blessed and grateful to have had this opportunity once again. The numbers of people varied throughout the day and night but we believe around 250 people came and spent time in the Church. Some of the people came to pray not just for 1 hour but some came back and did more to a total of 6 hours.

We had a great participation from many fronts.
The Catholic school sent groups of children with a prepared reflection so they could pray according to their age. We had musicians, the Neo-catechumenal group and Apostolate of Renewal all helped to lead people with their prayers and reflection time.

People said they loved it!
Many thanks to all those who came! Father Roberto Castillo
